‘Is That So Kid’ (Perma Link to This)
Is That So Kid is a new book by renowned photographer David Bailey that features lavish photos of then-muse Anjelica Huston taken in 1973.
“His new book, Is That So Kid, records a year photographing the raven-haired goddess Anjelica Huston for Vogue; its title pays homage to her father, the Irish-American director John Huston and a habitual saying of his.”
The UK Times Online has an interview with the now 70 year old Bailey about Anjelica, models, muses, photography, and the book. It’s a fabulous read and features lovely offhand quotes about Anjelica. Read the whole interview here.

The June Anjelica News Roundup (Perma Link to This)
The Kreutzer Sonata
The Kreutzer Sonata, based on the 1889 novella by Leo Tolstoy, has been reviewed on ScreenDaily.com. It doesn’t appear that the film will have a wide release if it receives one at all so you’ll have to content yourself with waiting for it’s eventual DVD release. Anjelica Huston has a cameo appearance as the main character’s sister Elinore but it’s really her half-brother Danny Huston’s film. Reportedly his performance is wonderful.

A Dorothy Draper Film
In the category of unfounded rumors we have rumblings of Anjelica’s suitability for an upcoming film about the woman who launched the oldest interior design firm in the US, Dorothy Draper. A film about the woman is pending at Paramount Pictures and though no casting decision has yet been made, purportedly Anjelica Huston’s name has been mentioned as a brilliant choice. So take that with a grain of salt and a crossing of your fingers.
You can read the Chicago Sun-Times rumor mill concerning Dorothy Draper here.
The CineVegas Film Festival Marquee Award
Finally, congratulations goes out to Anjelica for being given the Marquee Award, the top honor at the CineVegas Festival. ReviewJournal.com spoke with Anjelica at the event and asked about her work in the upcoming Choke, among other things. “‘It’s nice to be asked to do the big movies, too,’ says Huston, who won an Oscar (under the direction of her legendary father, John Huston) as a deadly, deadpan Mafia princess in 1985’s Prizzi’s Honor. Yet, ‘as my dad always said, ‘If you do one for money, you’d better do one for love.’ ”
